Ready to Rumble? PDF Print E-mail

19 August 2010

Are you one of the 106 players registered and getting ready to rumble this weekend at the Royal Swazi Rumble?

If not, you should think about it.  Among the big names travelling through are Darren Kramer and Greg Ronaldson. Unfortunately I will have to sit this one out due to prior golf tournament commitments. The tournament organizers are confident that a full field of around 120 will be met, and the estimated prize pool is a cool Million Rand – a very good reason for you to think about going through for this one!

The guys at Ace High Poker are still accepting late registrations, R12,500 gets you your R10k seat, plus accommodation for yourself & a mate/partner at the Royal Swazi Spa. You’ll start with 30,000 chips and the blinds are 45 minutes.

Tonight they are hosting a Big Cash Game – R100/R200 and R200/R400 … min buy-in is R20,000 and R40,000 respectively, so if you have a strong heart and deep pockets, don’t miss out on this action cash game.

If you want to find out anything further on the tournament, give Matt a call on 083 457 4199, or click here to register

May the best player win!!

Lior Suchard to amaze audiences with supernatural talents PDF Print E-mail

19 August 2010

Lior Suchard, the Israeli mentalist who has been hailed as the next Uri Geller, is set to make a once-off appearance at The Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City Casino on 25 August.

This supernaturally talented artist specialises in reading minds, influencing thoughts, making predictions and telekinesis. Lior discovered his talents at the tender age of six, astonishing those around him by moving teaspoons and other lightweight objects without touching them, and reading the thoughts of his family and friends.

He started showing off his talents on stage when he was 14 and kicked off his professional career in earnest upon his discharge from the army in 2002. He has since appeared in numerous stage shows and international television programmes, earning acclaim for his sensitive intuition, supernatural skills and clever sense of humour.

The show will take place at The Lyric Theatre for one night only (25th August) and tickets, priced at R250, are selling fast. Book now to secure tickets to this performance at Computicket or at The Lyric box office on 011 248 5000.

SA’s Gymnastic Goddess goes Green PDF Print E-mail

By : Catherine Constantinides

18th August 2010

Dominique Mann, who is competing for the coveted title of Miss Earth

South Africa in association with Consol at Emperors Palace Centre Court

on 11th September 2010, is no stranger to the South African public.

Not only is this 25 year old beauty the captain of the South African

Gymnastic Team, but she has won several sports awards, amongst

others being the KZN Sports Women of The Year Award in 2007, she

won this prestigious accolade alongside Springbok legend Percy

Montgomery who won KZN Sportsman of The Year that same year.

The Miss Earth South Africa is a programme that aims to empower

young South African women with the knowledge and platform to

create a sustainable difference in our plight to combat the

destruction of our natural heritage.

The event helps create awareness of our environment, wildlife and the

conservation of our natural legacy in South Africa, and ultimately

the preservation of Mother Earth.

Our goal is to create sustainability through our environmental work. Now more than ever before we as South Africans are experiencing issues of global warming, climate change and sustainability. Energy has also become a crucial denominator.

Our aim is to promote peace, respect and humility towards one another. By so doing we free ourselves to take on the responsibilities we face as human beings.
