Pokerstars.com SCOOP offering $45million total prize pool PDF Print E-mail
PokerStars.com has announced an updated schedule for the 2010 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP). The series will begin on May 2 and continue through to May 16, with 38 events scheduled across a range of poker games and buy-ins that cater for different bankrolls.

Each of the 38 events will feature three levels of buy-in: Low, Medium and High - giving nearly every PokerStars player the opportunity to take part in this great online series.

SCOOP will generate a combined total of at least $45 million in prize money, smashing last year’s total prize pool of $39,372,270. The Main Event, which concludes the series, will award prize pools of at least $1 Million, $3 Million and $5 Million in the Low, Medium and High buy-in levels respectively. The high-stakes main event, a 2-day $5,200 No Limit Hold’em tournament, even has a guaranteed 1st prize of $1,000,000.

The SCOOP schedule includes most of the games PokerStars offers, including Badugi, Omaha, Draw, Stud and Hold’em. Highlights include Shootouts, 2X Chance Turbos, 8-game and HORSE. Event 35 is a 2-day Heads-Up Match Play tournament that will feature a High buy-in of $25,500. The series ends with the Main Event, including buy-ins ranging from $109 to $10,300.

Satellites for SCOOP will begin within the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, start clearing your schedule for the 2010 Spring Championship of Online Poker.
